San Diego Inline and Roller Skate Groups

This is a list of Inline and Roller Skate groups that regularly meet in San Diego County. This list was compiled in no particular order. This information is current as of Jan 2024. This is a work in progress, check back frequently. Hopefully this helps you find your local tribe! Most welcome inline skaters at thier FREE events.


Inline Skating Groups

  • San Diego Inline
    Casual community of urban inline skaters that like to rapidly roll around outdoors. Welcome all skill and fitness levels. Run by various volunteer hosts.

  • San Diego Speed Skating 
    The San Diego Speed Skating group meets to train distance and endurance. They get together every Saturday at Skate World San Diego. Group run by Brian and Shawn.

  • San Diego Skaters
    Group of inline and roller skaters managed by Bobby that meet for social distance skates. Limited to those who can skate at an experienced intermediate level, or above only (no beginners, or entry level). Regularly hosts Friday Night Skate to Downtown San Diego.

  • San Diego Rollerblading FB Group
    This facebook group is used by some in the inline community to ask general questions and post ocassional events. Mostly aggressive skaters.

  • Chula Vista Hockey
    This informal group of roller hockey players regularly host pickup games at Sunset View Parks outdoor rink for any players 14 and older, for all skill level on Monday nights. They are looking for more players to join in on the fun. 
    A minimum of Inline skates, hockey stick, both a WHITE and DARK shirt/jersey are required. Some minimum protective gear is highly recommended by the group for your safety, like padded gloves, knee pads with shin guard, and helmet, ideally with eye/face protection. If you are under 18 the group suggests full gear, but requires you to at least wear a helmet, and knee protection for safety. Feel free to drop by just to watch a game from the bleachers.   • Tijuana Blading
    Group of aggressive rollerbladers in Tijuana (neighboring city to SD). Put on annual Chupas Contest.

  • Moonlight Rollout 🌕
    Casual roll outs and jam skate through downtown San Diego every full moon, with various scenic stops, like the Broadway Pier. Welcome all wheels (Free Skates, Roller Skates, Inline Skates, etc.)

  • FreeSkate Fridays 🌴
    Jam Skate and Fun on the Mission Beach Boardwalk every Friday at 10:30am. Welcome all wheels and levels (Free Skates, Roller Skates, Inline Skates, etc.) Regularly setup slalom cones to practice moves. JMK freeskate crew regularly attends.
